Our Core range models are available with stock sizing and features. This means that it’s not possible to change geometry or tyre clearance, however you can still choose your finish and component spec to make it your own. For more information on the different types of finishes available please see our finishing page and our paintworks page. Build prices for our most popular builds are listed as a guide, but if you would like a configuration not listed then please get in touch.

If you purchase a complete bike, it will be supplied fully assembled although a small amount of assembly may be required if the bike is shipped via a courier service. We can build a bike using components supplied by customers, please get in touch to discuss options and prices

Yes, the Escape FB is designed with off-road riding in mind. By that we mean gravel tracks, fire roads, flowing singletrack etc. The Escape is not designed for jumps, drop offs or technical MTB riding, though you might be surprised how capable it is.

The Escape works well as a robust and confidence inspiring road or commuter bike. Fitted with mudguards and 35-40mm tyres, it rolls along perfectly well for road-based touring or comfortable winter training rides.

We recommend a maximum tyre size of 700 x 50mm or 650b x 58mm. Please note that some tyre/rims will measure differently to the stated size therefore we cannot guarantee that all tyres of this size will fit.

We aim to have all ‘Core’ model frame sizes available ex stock. However, the Cycle Industry is currently experiencing major supply issues which has affected our ability to maintain stock levels of all frame sizes. If your frame size/model isn’t in stock the maximum wait should be around 3 months for frames/framesets. Please contact us for availability on Bike Builds.

Escape Flat Bar

Our popular Escape model has been enjoyed by customers worldwide over the last 4 years, and now in its Mk2.5 form it’s better than ever. As part of our Signature program, we have been producing custom flat handlebar frames for over a decade and the time is now right for us to offer a stock solution for those who prefer flat bars to drops.

The Escape FB isn’t just our standard Escape built with flat bars. The geometry is specifically designed to work with flat bars, resulting in a top tube that is 30-40mm longer than a typical gravel frame. Beware of our competitors that use the same frame geometry for drop and flat bars – they should really know better!

‘Isn’t that just an MTB?’ we hear you cry! Well, it is similar, but there are some key differences that are worth noting. Mountain bikes have become more and more extreme over the last couple of decades, with 6” suspension travel and 2.5” tyres now common for an everyday bike. Rides on easier terrain have become a drag. The Escape FB uses our carbon gravel specific fork, saving over a kilogram on a typical suspension fork. The fork also looks far nicer than a suspension corrected design and enables the fitting of proper fixed mudguards. In addition, even though tyre clearance on the Escape FB is sufficient for a whopping 700x50mm tyre (or 29x2”), it’s still possible to fit a road chainset, something that you simply can’t do on an MTB frame where typically a maximum chainring of 32t is the best you can achieve.

Using gravel and road components means a fully built Escape FB can weigh as little as 8kg/18lbs - a lightweight bike that’s very capable off-road, but also efficient and fun to ride on tarmac.

For gravel, commuting, touring and light off-road riding the Escape FB is a versatile and enjoyable machine. Categorize it as you want: flat bar gravel, MTB or hybrid - in the end all that really matters is that it’s a blast to ride and will put a smile on your face.
