The Inspiration
The Elite represents Enigma’s modern interpretation of a steel road bike — combining the unmistakable ride quality of steel with contemporary performance and integration. Designed for riders who value speed, feedback, and connection to the road, it delivers a ride feel that remains distinctive even among modern materials.
Completely revised, the Elite has been refined to be lighter, stiffer, and more precise while retaining the character that defines high-quality steel. Built exclusively as a Signature frameset, it reflects a focused approach to road riding where responsiveness and handling take priority over trends.
Constructed from Reynolds 853 Pro Team tubing, every Elite frame is handcrafted in Sussex using responsibly sourced steel. Modern updates include UDH-compatible dropouts, a T47 bottom bracket, and internal cable routing with both dedicated and multiport options. For riders seeking a clean, contemporary aesthetic, the Elite can also be specified with a fully integrated cockpit using Columbus Trittico or ENVE In-Route components..
This is steel, redefined for modern road performance.
The Details
The Elite is engineered for fast, engaging road riding, with geometry carefully tuned to balance stiffness, compliance, and precise handling. Tube profiles including a 38mm down tube, 35mm seat tube, and 32mm top tube create a responsive yet composed ride feel, allowing steel’s natural characteristics to shine without sacrificing performance.
Built from Reynolds 853 Pro Team tubing, the frame offers exceptional strength, longevity, and ride quality. Internal cable routing is standard, paired with a T47 threaded bottom bracket for modern drivetrain compatibility and long-term serviceability. A fully integrated cockpit option is available for riders prioritising maximum integration and a streamlined finish.
New for 2026, the Elite features UDH-compatible dropouts for improved drivetrain resilience and easier hanger replacement, along with an engraved stainless-steel bridge that adds both strength and a refined visual detail..
