Launched in late 2014 and now our bestselling model, the Enigma Etape Disc 3AL 2.5V Titanium Road Bike is superb to ride and combines all the Etape versatility with the added stopping power of hydraulic or mechanical disc brakes. Handcrafted from 3AL 2.5V double-butted titanium tubing the Etape disc also features a new heavier gauge chain stay plus a cleverly designed CNC machined rear dropout with internal disc mounts. The dropout design ensures all the additional braking stresses imposed on the frame by disk brake callipers are absorbed through the dropouts themselves and not the frame stays, which could otherwise potentially fatigue over time as a result of the extra braking loads generated.

“I always suffer from buyer’s remorse but this was quickly forgotten; I was really impressed with the look of my bike, the frame looks amazing with the flat top tube and the understated wheels/hubs all added to (in my view) a really perfect looking bike. I've probably done 200 miles on it now and am still getting used to the responsiveness and just the ease of which it takes off and also climbs. I'm basically very impressed with the service I got from everyone I met at Enigma and very impressed with the finished product”James Philipp’s
“"it's great and probably the best bike I've ridden, comfortable, but still responsive, everything a Audax type bike should be. The only complaint would be, why I didn't buy one sooner? Many thanks for a great bike, and great service"Tim Gray
"Utterly amazing, the best bike I have ever ridden !!!! I got my Etape Disc frame just before Christmas and I've spent my spare time building it and today I finally got out on it. I've been lucky in that I've ridden and owned lots of bikes, including some very exotic and very expensive bikes, but none of them compares to this bike. It floats over the road, power transfer is brilliant with no noticeable flex and I'm a big rugby player at 105kg. I can feel some flex in the fork under braking which takes a little of getting used to, I think it took all of 2 minutes. A friend of mine, Roger was out with me, he got his fully built bike from you guys just before Christmas, his comment was I've finally found a bike that can do it all, anytime, and I have to say I couldn't agree more. So well done to everybody at Engima, you have made the best bike I've ever ridden, simply stunning in every way” :)
