Q: Whats the best thing to clean titanium with?

A: We recommend either soapy water or a household cleaner like cif or mr muscle, they all work very well.

Q: How can I stop getting finger prints on my titanium frame?

A: We recommend applying a tiny drop of baby oil or similar onto a clean cloth and then rub this into the titanium, this then applies a thin film
and stops any fingerprints or marks, it also adds a more lustrous gleam!

Q: I’m getting a creaking noise but can’t determine where its coming from, what could be the cause?

A: Usually creaking occurs and is caused by one of the following:

A titanium railed saddle can creak especially if its been used in the wet, periodically take it off the seat post and
then clean and reassemble.

Take off your pedals and clean and re-grease the threads, another big creak offender.

Make sure your quick releases are done up very tight, a very simple and common mistake.

Torque Settings

With components becoming ever lighter it is essential that all bolts on a high end bicycle like an Enigma are tightened to the correct torque settings with a torque wrench. Below you will find the most common settings for those that are not listed please refer to the manufacturers information.

* Campagnolo seat clamp 10NM
* Enigma titanium seat clamp 10NM
* Reynolds Ouzo Pro and Comp saddle cradle bolts 8 NM
* Campagnolo Chorus and Record saddle cradle bolt 18-22 NM
* Enigma carbon seat post saddle cradle bolt 10 NM
* USE alien saddle cradle bolt 3.5 N/MM

* Enigma stem front bolts 4 NM
* Enigma stem side bolts 6 NM
* USE race stem all bolts 5 NM

Campagnolo Veloce, Centaur, Chorus and Record:

* Ultra-Torque chainset main BB bolt 42-60 NM, we tighten to 50 NM
* Chainset chainring bolts 8 NM
* Rear mech gear hanger bolt 15 NM
* Rear mech cable bolt 6 NM
* Front mech cable bolt 5 N/MM
* Front mech main attachment bolt 5 NM
* Front and rear brake attachment bolts 10 NM
* Front and rear brake cable bolt 5 NM
* Front and rear brake block bolts 8 NM
* Ergopower attachment bolt 10 NM
* Cassette lockring 50 NM
