All Enigma Frames come finished bright brushed as standard, but we can customize this in many ways. The finish of an Enigma frame is very labour intensive but worth every minute we lavish upon it. Frames are mirror polished after construction and then the brushing begins, all done by hand no machines used, just the skill of a technician and a scotch brite pad. Hours later and we have the finished article, a deep lustrous finish few other brands can achieve, classy understated and very resilient.

1. Measurements

We start by taking 8 crucial body measurements and feeding these into the World renowned Bikefitting.com database. In depth questions are then asked such as what make and model of shoe and pedals are going to be used, then we tell the system what sort of riding you’ll be doing and then we hit compute! Two sets of drawings are instantly computed, one of the complete bike setup and one of the critical frame dimensions. We then move onto the more in depth bikefitting pro rig.

2. Position simulation

The Proffesional Analysis is the most extensive bikefitting.com service. It is specifically designed for athletes who strive for absolute optimization of physical performance or those with particular physical problems, especially related to hip, knee and ankle functions. Building on the results of a Standard Analysis, the skilled operator employs the bikefitting.com Position Simulator to adjust for the cyclist's ideal position.
The Position Simulator has three functions:
To determine the exact seat angle of the frame, which is a direct result of the ratio of upper and lower leg length. This also calculates the correct fore-and-aft adjustment of the saddle which assists optimal power transfer and a stable position on the saddle.

To determine an asymmetric seat position to compensate, for example, for differences in leg length which often leads to pain in the lower back area

3. CAD drawing

To simulate the position that the bikefitting.com computer program has calculated and to enable the client to immediately experience this improvement.
The pro rig allows the rider to ride his/her new position with absolute confidence, once happy it is only then that the final results are then taken by Mark and he then starts to make a final CAD drawing, tweaking handling and stiffness, prior to actually making a frame. Once approved by Mark and customer the CAD drawings are then sent to the factory where production will commence.
