For those tentative about making the switch to titanium, the decision just got a lot easier with this frame. It offers that classic titanium ride quality in a smartly finished package that rewards the rider with an involved ride. David Arthur Roadcyclinguk.com
While I found the bike to be light and stiff enough to win over any pro on the European circuit, what really struck me was the smoothness of the ride. In this respect, I’ve not found the Eulogy’s equal in any of the many carbon bikes I’ve tested”.
But dismiss the Enigma Eulogy at your peril – this is no fly-by-night “fashion” frame, but a timeless beauty that will stand by you for the best part of a lifetime, Marcel Wust.
It's an easy bike to ride, wafting from café stop to hill top, and I liked how the frame dissipated any road roughness. I also felt like I had done less actual mileage upon returning home than the other bikes. But the Etape is no sloth, as it can carry a surprising level of speed, and can be switched up a few degrees should the desire take you.
From the elegantly tapered head tube at the front to the neat dropouts at the rear, this frame drips with quality. Coupled with its classy looks and quality finish, the effusion has a real air of 'grand tourer' about it, An Aston Martin among carterham Sevens. Ben Smith cycling weekly.
"This bike represents perhaps the very essence of the sportive bicycle concept, and scores top in this test thanks to the way it gets everything in proportion, from ride comfort and relaxed handling to a pleasing brand identity, together with a well thought out range of kit options" Richard Hallett, cycling plus.
"It's fast; damn fast. It thrives when being pushed hard and keeps asking for more of the rider. It's not a demanding bike, but if you're willing to put a lot in, it rewards you" David Arthur, Road cycling UK.
The Enigma is a very special cycle; it’s an enigma in so many different ways. The frame was not particularly light but it felt light when riding it. The frame is compliant where it needs to be for comfort, yet stiff enough to give firm handling and excellent power transfer. The frame is also very responsive unlike so many of the competitions “state of the art” frames, be they titanium or carbon!
"Simply put, this is an excellent bike. Somehow, with the combination of the two materials and the intelligent use of tube profiles, Enigma has created a frame that is both rigid in the areas it needs to be but also reasonably compliant, affording a level of comfort that I didn't initially expect" Ben Atkins, cyclingnews.com
"if you like to feel the pulse of every pedal revolution transferred into a creamy smoothness as the tyres zing over mixed surfaces, you'll love the Enigma" Paul Vincent, Bike Radar.
